Workshop Description

“soft riot sounds”: This workshop will engage sound and how it moves the body through improvisational vocal explorations, the physical body as an instrument, and digital sampling. We will work from the traditions of house/electronic music, gospel, and jazz using sampling and spontaneous collaboration to create a sound score as we also try to live in it together. This workshop is for those interested in combining movement and sound practices in a collaborative space.
